The shoulder harness can be found behind a zipped panel at the back of the backpack, simply unzip it and clip the harness into place for quick and easy backpack carrying. The shoulder harness can also be adjusted to provide a more comfortable fit depending on your height and build and has a mesh construction to make it more breathable in hot climates. The back system can be easily removed when you don’t need it, helping to reduce the weight of your bag! When your back gets tired, simply zip the shoulder straps away, extend the retractable towing handle and you’re good to go! The wheels are constructed from super tough polyurethane plastic with an ABS polymer plastic Osprey ‘High Road’ chassis, which helps protect the wheels and base of the backpack.
You’ll find that the inside of the Osprey Sojourn 80 comes with some pretty useful features too, including 4 x generously sized pockets for organisation of your luggage and internal compressor straps to keep everything compact and in place during your travels. Access to the main compartment is gained via a zip opening, which features interlocking zips to keep your travel pack and its contents secure.
The outside of the bag includes two padded grab handles, making it easy to load your bag on and off the airport carousel, an external top pocket for storing accessories or a wash bag and a special external ‘straight jacket’ compression system with foam side walls to keep your bag compact and help protect its contents! If you’re looking for a daypack to accompany the Sojourn, the Osprey Farpoint daypack is also available to buy separately and threads through the straightjacket system to hold it on.
