Inter-railing is becoming more and more popular amongst travellers. We can certainly see the appeal of hopping on a train overnight and finding ourselves in a different country by the morning, or simply taking in all that breath taking scenery! The climate throughout Europe tends to be warm during the spring and summer months, but begins to cool down throughout autumn and winter and some countries are much colder than others. We’ve included a range of sleeping bags in our packing list to accommodate travel throughout the different times of year. Generally, you will find the European plug type in use and we’ve included these adapters on our list. However, in countries such as Switzerland and Italy you will find they use their own unique plug…don’t worry we’ve listed these too! In terms of security, Europe is relatively safe but beware of pickpockets in cities such as Barcelona, a money belt or hidden wallet is a good way to prevent theft of your cash and valuables. You may also find insects and mosquitoes to be a problem in some parts of Europe. Make sure you stock up on repellent and bite relief just in case.
